Instructions

  • Activate the yeast: Combine warm milk, yeast, and a small amount of sugar. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

  • Prepare the dough: Add flour, remaining sugar, melted butter, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture and mix until a soft dough forms.

  • Knead the dough: Knead the dough for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  • First rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  • Prepare the filling: Mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until spreadable.

  • Roll out the dough: Roll the dough into a large rectangle about ¼ inch thick.

  • Spread the filling: Evenly spread the cinnamon mixture over the dough surface.
